To cater the needs of students, Calcutta Institute of Technology has started Master of Computer Application (MCA) in the year 2006 with intake 60. Department is affiliated and approved by West Bengal University of Technology and AICTE, New Delhi.

MCA is a Post-Graduation program of three years course spanning over six semesters, last semester of which is exclusively reserved for project work.
The course curriculum is comprehensive and aims to provide sound theoretical concepts coupled with hands on experience in the best solution frameworks. The course curriculum have been designed mainly to focus on the following thrust areas-system software, Data bases and Computer Networks in addition to various other allied fields and basic sciences.
The Faculty of Computer Applications strives to meet the demand for well-qualified and competent computer professionals to fulfill the requirements of the industry. It offers three year full time Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and nurtures the capabilities of budding professionals for the development of high quality technical manpower to meet the challenges of the knowledge era. The focus of the department is on holistic learning and empowering students to enable them to make significant contributions at all levels.

In MCA department admission is exclusively done among the aspirants of WB JECA Entrance test conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Board.
We have collaboration with different Industries like IBM, Infosys. These organizations organize training for the students and provide them global Certification.
We organize summer training program for students with different industries like ARDENT, HCL, CMC etc. it help students to become industry ready.
We provide soft-skill training to students for their overall development.

· All the Class rooms are furnished with WI-Fi internet connectivity, LCD projectors, Sony 21’’ Flat TV and water facility, Satellite communication and Visualized class room facility .
Lab Facilities
The department has good Computer Laboratories equipped with 3 servers and 60 nodes. All the computers are networked and protected from all known viruses and firewall to have complete data security. To ensure continues usability of computers to the students, all the computers have a power backup with uninterrupted power supply (UPS). Essential licensed software is provided to all systems to support the academic and University curriculum.
