INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
The Computer Sc & Engineering department started functioning in the year 2004 i.e. from the very beginning of this institution with an approved intake of 60 in the undergraduate program. The department is the integral part of this institution.
The Department offers a 4-year under graduate B.Tech degree and has an annual intake of 120 students. The department is run by a number of good young energetic faculty members and is headed an IITian Prof. (Dr.) Amit Dutta. The faculty members of the department are publishing research papers in good journals with national and international repute and in the conference proceeding indexed in IEEE, ELSEVIER, SPRINGER, and ACM etc. The department always motivates the students to do higher study, impart in the innovative research work.
The pass out students of the department are gloriously shining in the reputed renowned MNCs like Siemens, Cognizant Technology Solution, Accenture, Tata Consultancy Services, L&T Infotech, Tech Mahindra, Mahindra Satyam, IBM , Samsung, EA Software, Terra Data, NEC HCL, Oracle Corporation, Infosys, Wipro Technologies, Wipro Infotech, HCL Technologies and many more MNCs with international repute.
A good number of students of the department are doing M.Tech and Integrated PhD in many reputed foreign universities and institutes like Cornell University, The University of Kansas, Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai, and Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, and IIEST, Shibpur , University of Indiana, USA etc.

· Utpalendu Kabasi (Final Yr 2016 Batch) cracked GRE-2016 and TOEFL with outstanding score and got admission in MS(Software Engineering) in Cleveland State University(Public University), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
· Anandam Bhattacharya(Final Yr 2016 Batch) cracked GRE-2016 and TOEFL with a excellent score and secured admission in MS (Computer Science) in Indiana University Purdue University(IUPUI), USA
· Mainak Kundu(Final Yr 2016 Batch) cracked GRE-2016 and TOEFEL with excellent score and secured admission in MS in Computer Science Western Michigan University, Michigan, USA

· Dibyajoti Mondal, CSE 2015 Batch has obtained Gandhi Fellowship in the year 2015.
· Kumar Sourav, CSE 2015 Batch has scored 7th in India in the Ethical Hacking Online Examination conducted by EC Council, USA. Now he is a professional ethical hacker working in CTS, Bangalore as Information Security Analyst
